“I let God take my hand to paint and to convey inspiration via sand animation.” Minta is a Christian, and belief is the greatest power he relies upon when creating works. Minta has a straightforward idea about aesthetics. He is fond of creation, but does not like to imitate.
“I like to think reversely and change inertia. Those who undertake aesthetic design should beware of copying others’ ideas and not thinking using their own brains. If this bad habit lasts long, they eventually will think of nothing at all,” he said introspectively.
In the beginning, in order to figure out how to create sand art using his two hands, he would practice on the glass tea table in the living room of his home, and would place Styrofoam on the four sides to surround an area and pour sand in to practice.
“My family would nag at me, and I had to clean it up on my own after a practice,” Minta reminisced, laughing out loud.
In order to create sand art using both hands, he forced himself to exercise his left hand. “For a whole month, I thrust my right hand in my pocket and only used my left hand to carry things and brush my teeth until my left hand became smoother. Finally, even when I was painting sand, my both hands could draw different lines simultaneously.”

Whether it was special effects makeup, body painting or sand art, the process of creation more often than not came with loneliness and seclusion.
While studying special effects makeup, Master Minta suffered opposition from a good number of relatives, who mocked or taunted him. When conducting body painting, because of the need to draw on a woman’s body, he also met some negative responses. His sand art work encountered strong criticism from most of the people around him as well. In the process of aesthetic creation, besides being inspired by beauty, he came to understand a lot of life philosophy.
Since the beginning, Master Minta has been engaged in commercial performances, but he plans to take part in public interest activities from this year on. Just like belief gives him the power of creation, he hopes not only to convey inspiration to everyone using his hands but also to create more love and care.
